The first thing you do when you are constipated is to use laxatives, but you don’t need them as they do more harm than good. Cereals, starchy vegetables such as green peas, corn, beans and potatoes and whole wheat bread are some of the grain products. Consuming these grain products help you get a huge quantity of fiber in your daily food. Cereals will provide high fiber, i.e., around 5 or 6 grams of fiber.
Barley is one good diet supplement that helps you get relieved from constipation. You can take barley in the form of flakes, flour or grits.
