'Shiney lambi race ka ghoda hai,' said Sushmita Sen yesterday at the press conference prior to the release of her film 'Zindaggi Rocks'. Sushmita is playing a rock-star in the film.
The story is touted to be an emotional one for she has an adopted son and a doctor boyfriend (played by Shiney).
Dressed casually in a full-sleaves white T-shirt and faded blue jeans, Sush was radiant even without any makeup or nazuk adayen.
Music director Anu Malik and producer Anuradha Prasad were also present at the function. Sushmita is very patient with the media and makes sure that she thanks the media graciously.
She doesn't get irritated with difficult questions. Moreover she hugged a lady journalist who was asking questions at the fag end of the press conference. 'Jaaneman, some time later please,' she cooed. I could see the lady journalist smiling ear to ear thereafter.
The music of 'Zindaggi Rocks' is already being talked about. Although it is not Anu Malik at his best, yet a few of the numbers like 'Rabbi', 'Humko Choone Paas Aaiye' and 'Zindaggi Rocks' are charmers. Sush hummed some of the lines from 'Humko Choone'' for the media and asked Anu Malik to join as well. It was a bit shocking to note that Malik didn't remember the lyrics of his own number. Although, he is in thick of things with several back to back releases, but still, maybe he can take a cue from a certain Reshammiya dude who in spite of having a plethora of releases yet manages to belt out his numbers at short notice.
It was a short-and-sweet press conference where the media personnel were given respect. For it has become a routine in a few of the other events in the city to deride the byte-hungry journos. After all we are also doing a job. And if things are a bit planned and organized, it helps everyone's cause.
