With excellent pre-release reports and positive word-of-mouth, Eros International's Heroes, the multi starrer with industry stalwarts like Salman Khan, Preity Zinta, Sunny Deol and Mithun Chakravorthy has taken a good opening across India, especially Punjab and other parts of north India. The film has enjoyed the biggest pre-Diwali opening, releasing to packed cinemas in northern India.
With fantastic collections pouring in across regions - 80-85% collections in multiplexes and 65% in single screens in UP, Punjab and Delhi, 80-85% single screens in Maharashtra and 80% in Gujarat and similar figures coming in from other regions, audience reactions have been very promising. Reports are already doing the rounds of the film being comparable to a cult film on the lines of Rang De Basanti and Baghban.
