Reality shows are big on Indian television and with channels going all out to ensure visibility and good ratings, competition is naturally tough. With the new season of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' just a few weeks away, makers are looking out for a new judge. The show is slated to go in for a complete makeover after it failed to get decent ratings last season. And in the running for the post of the new judge are Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan. The channel is keen to get either one considering both actors are hugely popular especially among the youth and good dancers.
Last year Shahid Kapoor was the celebrity judge on the show but it seems unlikely that the actor will be a part of the new season. The reason, say insiders, is because Shahid had a number of issues with the channel and also didn't share a good equation with host Manish Paul. The channel, too, is looking to revamp the show and not keen on Shahid.
While Arjun Kapoor has already hosted 'Khatron Ke Khiladi: Kabhi Peeda, Kabhi Keeda', other young actors so far have been shy of making the transition to the small screen. It will be interesting to see whether Ranveer or Varun will take the bait and join 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'.
While Karan Johar will continue to be one of the judges, some reports say that Jacqueline Fernandez is being approached to replace. Malaika Arora Khan. Two choreographers will also make it to the judging panel.
