All claims by the makers of SAAWARIYA stating that the film was finally finding an audience in the second week have proved to be untrue.
The film has seen a massive fall in the second week and what seemed like at least an average status for the film has also come under a threat. Though the first week billing of SAAWARIYA was much better than just being face saving with as much as 20 crores coming in, more than 80% fall in collections as per the reported centers in the second week shows the writing clear on the wall.
Film has seen a terrible decline all over with major cities like Mumbai accounting for mere 65 lakhs and Delhi being poor at 35 lakhs. Further nail in the coffin has been barely 2-3 shows per multiplex that now remain for the film in it's 3rd week. On the other hand JAB WE MET has shown a huge increase in it's fifth week and is now back with close to 6 shows at majority of multiplexes.
The way SAAWARIYA is going, it may well be time for it's DVD release by the time DUS KAHANIYAAN takes over the screens on 7th December.
