Tamil director Shankar has been one of the finest film makers in India who have emerged from the South.
The man shot into limelight with his Tamil films dubbed in Hindi like 'Humse Hai Muqabla' [Prabhu Deva, Nagma], 'Hindustani' [Kamal Hassan, Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar], Jeans [Prashant, Aishwarya] and his first Hindi film 'Nayak' [Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee].
Now he is back with a film, though originally made in Tamil, 'Anniyan'. One of the biggest HITS of 2005, 'Anniyan' has been dubbed as 'Aparichit' and stars Vikram in the lead. The film is about a man who suffers from "Multiple Personality Disorder". A high voltage action entertainer shot in true Shankar style, the film is looking at an all India release soon.
