Actor Vijay shot in to fame from this year's super hit Kannada film 'Dhuniya' which has done a memorable job. From the 11 acres of land he has purchased near Chintamani that is 100 kilometers from Bangalore Vijay has donated one acre of land to Mr Ganesh Kasargod to start house for the needy in the society especially those who belong to cinema industry. Handing over the papers of one acre land to Mr Ganesh Kasargod the humble actor Vijay disclosed that he has formed an association 'KARUNARASA' (Karnataka Rudramma, Narayanappa, Rajkumar, Rajanikanth Sangha) to float all social work in future.
Starting an orphan house is my childhood dream. After reading series of articles written by senior journalist Mr Ganesh Kasargod in his columns 'Chaduridha Chitragalu'. About the fading away life of veterans in Kannada cinema I thought he is the right person to head my dream. 'He had kindly accepted my invitation to head the orphan house is my fortunate pleasure' said Vijay.
What has started as a discussion has landed to the stage of finding a land for the needy people in the industry. In the coming years I am confident this orphan house would work efficiently said Ganesh Kasargod addressing the media. At the media briefing nearly Rs.40000 was collected for the construction of a building on one acre land. Among the key donors on that day was producer of 'Mandakini' Mr B.K.Srinivas who issued a cheque of Rs.25000.
Actor Vijay also announced that Mr Anil is his fans association President.
