It is reported that Bollywood starlet Huma Quershi would be essaying the role of a sex-worker in superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kaala.
Directed by Pa. Ranjith and co-starring Samuthirakani, Nana Patekar, Easwari Rao, Huma Qureshi and Anjali Patil, Kaala’s shoot commenced in the last week of May in Mumbai in Pa. Ranjith’s direction. This would be the film-maker’s second and back-to-back film with the superstar after last year’s colossal hit film Kabali.
Huma’s inclusion in the cast triggered rumours that she would be paired up opposite Rajinikanth but was later informed that it would be Easwari Rao and not Huma who would get to pair up opposite Rajini, who plays a Mumbai-based Tamil don in the film which has music by Santhosh Narayanan.
Huma’s character would nevertheless be a ‘weighty’ one as she essays a sex-worker’s character. The film would have more political content than Kabali, the film’s crew insist and add that all the dialogues and the backdrop in which they appear in the film have been authorized by none other than Rajini himself!
