Yograj Bhat and Ravichandran were both approached to play the lead in the Kannada remake of Malayalam film Salt And Pepper. Both refused for different reasons. Now rights holder Prakash Rai will himself play the lead role in the film.
The film's Kannada name has also been changed from Hurlikai Biryani to Oggarane. SP Balasubramanyam, Sneha and Samyukta Belawadi are the other main actors in the film. The Malayalam film is also being remade in Tamil and Telugu by Prakash Rai.
The film is about an middle-aged archaeologist and his obsession with food. He is a bachelor and how he manages to find love in-between his obsession is the crux of the story. The official announcement of the film is on Monday.
