Tanushree may seek legal recourse against Raj Kanwar

Tanushree Dutta is very much upset with the producer of 'Raqeeb', Raj Kanwar.

Raj Kanwar has given some false statements to media to promote his new film 'Raqeeb'. He has stated that Tanushree is playing a nymphomaniac in this movie, which is not true. He has also mentioned in some newspapers that she has done some bold scenes. Tanushree is so upset with these comments and cheap publicity which Mr. Kanwar is trying to get it two days before the release of the film, she sent a notice to Mr. Raj Kanwar. Here is the copy of the notice:

Re: The misleading statements given by you in leading newspapers with regard to film RAQEEB therein stating that I have done hot bedroom and kissing scenes

Dear Raj Kanwarji,
I am deeply hurt to write to you that the misleading and absolutely false statements given by you in all leading newspapers are surely going to tarnish my image in the film industry. You are fully aware that I have not performed any such scenes for your film which can in any manner whatsoever be considered as a bold scene, a hot bedroom scene, or a kissing scene. I therefore fail to understand, as to why are you giving such false statements and seeking to promote your film on the basis of such falsehood.

As the statements given by you in the newspapers on different occasions are very specific quotes, I am therefore constrained to believe that you may have probably without my knowledge, shot some scenes with a body double or with a look alike and on the basis of such scenes I feel that you may be trying to promote your film. Do note that I am forced to think like this only because of the specific quotes given by you in the newspapers.

However as I would yet like to believe that there are no such scenes shown in your film RAQEEB, with any body double or a look alike and that the reports carries in the newspapers are absolutely false, I would like to therefore request you to kindly confirm and clarify the same by giving a statement in the newspapers within two days as the film is yet to release. I would also like to kindly arrange for a trial show of the said film within next two days from the date of this letter, so as to enable me to view the said film personally and clarify my doubts which have been raised because of your statements that were carried in the newspapers.

In an event if you pay no heed to my requests and neglect to give a clarification in the newspaper and also arrange for a trial show as requested, then I shall have no option but to believe that you are purposely trying to harm my reputation and tarnish my image in the film industry. Do note that upon such circumstances I shall be constrained to seek legal recourse entirely at your risk, cost and consequences.

Therefore sincerely hoping that you shall do the needful at the earliest and thanking you in anticipation, I remain.

Tanushree Dutta
