The most reported news these days is Vijay starrer Kaavalan. The film is topping the headlines for some or the other reasons. Now it has come up regarding the terms that were set by High court of Chennai for the release of the film.
It is earlier known to everyone that the director Siddique had started the film in Tamil as Kaavalan, which is the remake of Malayalam film Bodyguard by violating the copyrights. Sree Gokulam Chits and Finance company are the official holders of copyrights, the dubbing, remake rights and world satellite rights of the film. This finance company brought the rights for Rs 3.90 crores in January from Johnny Sagarika Cinema Square, Ernakulam.
Justice V Ramasubramanian asked the producer of the film Ramesh Babu and director Siddique to deposit an amount of Rs 1.88 Crore in the court, which will allow Kaavalan for its release. This is going to be a good news for Vijay’s fans as Kaavalan is expected to release for Pongal.
