The news is out. Suriya and Priyamani will be launched in Hindi with ‘Raktha Charitra’ by Ram Gopal Varma this year. Priyamani will play opposite Suriya, who is playing the role of Maddelacheruvu Suri in the film, a romp through the saga of Anantapur faction feuds. The much-publicised film sees the couple, along with Vivek Oberoi. Vivek Oberoi plays the role of Paritala Ravi and Bengali actress Radhika Apte is doing his wife's role, Paritala Sunita.
The prestigious project, which RGV regards as the most important film of his career, is proceeding at a brisk pace. A two-part idea, the film is expected to hit the screens later this year. A real-life saga of power politics, factionalism and more, the film has been mired in controversies as well.
‘Raktha Charitra’ will be made in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
With two big names making their debut in Hindi with the same film is big news, Add that to Vikram who will make it in Hindi with Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’. The year is going to be too good for Kollywood in Bollywood.
