Goundamani is the latest victim of celebrity death hoaxes. Now, the actor has issued a statement that he is doing fine and people should not believe such baseless speculations.
“We are not sure who is spreading these baseless rumours, but Goundamani sir is absolutely fine. We request his fans and media to not dwell on it,” read a statement from his publicist. The actor is fine and has requested people not to panic, the statement added.
The actor further said that he is busy finalising a few scripts and he will be announcing his upcoming projects soon. He was recently seen in Shanthanu Bhagyaraj’s Vaaimai.
The rumours of his death went viral on social media sites and WhatsApp. It was speculated that the actor passed away due to some health issues.
Goundamani is a popular actor, who has been reinventing himself on a continuous basis. From playing a comedian and a character artiste to second lead and a villain, the actor has proved to be one of the most versatile people in the film industry. He has acted in over 300 films in a career spanning over three decades.
Meanwhile, Sendhil too has become a victim of such rumours on more than one occasion. After realising that miscreants have been regularly spreading rumours of his death, he decided to take legal action against those who were behind the rumours.
