It is a happy sight in Kollywood this year. Several veteran directors, who had carved a niche for themselves, are back in the scheme of things.
K Balachander, who has wielded the megaphone for 100 films, is ready with the release of his 101st venture Poi, while Bharathiraja is churning out Bommalattam, a bi-lingual (being made in Hindi too).
Actor- director K Bhagyaraj is back in the limelight after a successful outing in his directorial venture Parijatham recently. Not far behind is Agathiyan, the only director from Kollywood to win the national award for best director. He is penning the dialogues for Bharathiraja's Bommalattam.
Also P Vasu, who is still going strong, has commenced shooting Thottal Poo Malarum starring his son Sakthi in the lead role.
With young guns like Shankar, Saran, Cheran around, the coming back of these veterans will provide a cracking contest and a variety feast for the audience.
