Versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi's 'Dharmadurai' has opened to mixed reviews from critics, but the Seenu Ramasamy directed film's box office collections prove that it has been lapped up by the audience.
As the film completed its first full week in the theaters yesterday (August 25), trade sources in Kollywood reveal that the film has grossed around Rs.10 crores from Tamil Nadu theatricals. The share of Chennai in this is estimated to be around Rs.1.88 crores.
Sources further add that the TN distribution rights of the film was sold for Rs.6.88 crore and the film will emerge successful after the end of this weekend as the film heads for a successful second weekend at the Box office without any considerable reduction in screen count.
'Dharmadurai' stars Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannah, Aishwarya Rajesh, Srushti Dange, Radhika and Rajesh among others. Yuvan Shankar Raja has rendered the musical score for this film which is high on emotional value.
