Jakkanna, starring Sunil and Mannara Chopra in lead roles, is all done with the censor formalities. It has been given a U/A certificate. This comedy entertainer will hit the screens on July 29. Produced by R Sudarshan Reddy on RPA Creations, the film is directed by Vamsi Krishna Akella of Raksha fame.
The makers are confident of scoring a hit. They aver that there are many punch lines in the movie. And Sunil, they say, is back to entertaining in his style, as the trailer proves.
The producer says, “Censor members are happy after seeing the output which gave us an instant boost-up. This is an energetic family entertainer. The director Akella has touched upon a point none has dealt with in the past. This film will impress the audience like our film Prema Katha Chitram. All the songs are hummable. The director's execution and Sunil's comic timing will make the audience clap all through. Sapthagiri's comedy will be another major highlight."
Kabir Singh, Sapthagiri, Prudhviraj, Posani Krishna Murali, Nagineedu, Rajya Lakshmi, Chitram Sreenu, Adurs Raghu, Sathya Prakash, Raja Ravindra, Uday, Anand Raj, Sathya, Viva Harsha, Venu Gopal and Rajasri Nayar are the cast members.
Dialogues are by Bhavani Prasad. Akella has written the story and screenplay, too. Music is by Dinesh. Editing is by MR Varma. Stills are by Vasu. Art direction is by Murali.
