Creative director Krishna Vamsy’s career got struck at one point right from 2009. Past seven years, none of his films scored a blockbuster or even a moderate hit. From ‘Sasirekha Parinayam’ till ‘Govindudu Andari Vadele,’ no where Krishna Vamsy showed his peculiar mark or visionary attitude which led to a drastic fall in his demand. After too many twists and turns, finally he bagged ‘Nakshatram’ with Sundeep Kishan, Regina as main leads.
However, the actual deal is known to be something different. KV signed ‘Nakshatram’ on a complete package deal at a price of Rs. 8 Crores which includes everything from pre production, production to getting the first copy ready along with his own remuneration, artists fee and technical crew added. How much KV really pockets from the project is still unknown but hero Sundeep Kishan and heroine Regina are reportedly doing ‘Nakshatram’ for free without taking any remuneration.
In fact, Krishna Vamsy is a star director who is worth taking home Rs.8 Crores alone as his direction fee. Apparently, his time isn’t running good like VV Vinayak or Sukumar who charges more than 8 Crores per one project.
