Sumanth is one hero who has the right pedigree and the right looks.
Tall and handsome, Sumanth has an illustrious background. Yet, he has not reached the heights that he would have wanted in Tollywood.
But he is not unduly worried as he knows that he has got good opportunities coming his way.
After doing a series of action and mass roles, Sumanth is currently doing a pretty sensitive and serious role in Godavari.
Directed by Shekar Kammula, whose Anand was one of the biggest surprises in 2004, Godavari is certainly a film to look forward in the summer of 2006.
At any rate, Sumanth is expecting a lot from it.
A soft love story, with rains and river being a vital backdrop, the film may alter the course of his career.
Sumanth plays the character of Sreeram in the film. 'The entire film takes place in a launch trip between Rajahmundry and Bhadrachalam,' he says.
The director specifically shot him at sunrise.
Kamalini Mukherjee, who is going great guns, is the heroine.
Sumanth is impressed with Shekhar. 'He had the bound script even before the start of the shoot. It is written in both Telugu and English. He follows exactly what is written in it without any deviation,' Sumanth says of his director.
Sumanth is also hoping his own career follows a new direction without any deviation.
