Interval report: KABALI is a realistic gang war movie set in the backdrop of Malaysia! Slow screenplay is the only problem with the first half , and one should not expect commercial mass elements. Still Rajanikanth’s presence his unimitable styles and movie’s top-notch quality cinematography and artwork makes this movie appreciable. Overall an average first half for common audience. Rajini fans will have a feast.

The film is more of Ranjith’s film than Superstar Rajini’s film. Slow screenplay gets to you sometimes, however the director took ample care and included all the elements that will make Superstar fans go frenzy. Photography by G Murali and music by Santhosh Narayanan elevates the feel of the movie. A definite watch for Rajini fans.

Rajinikanth’s most awaited 159th film Kabali has already created sensation with the promotions across the globe, the songs of the movie are already on everybody’s tip of tongue & also are trending over Youtube with views and likes, On the release day itself 1000 CD’s were sold. Rajinikanth’s last film Lingaa failed to impress the Box Office, after which Superstar Rajinikanth struggled for this film for his fans. Kabali movie is released in both Tamil and Telugu languages, Pa Ranjith directed the film & is produced by the Kalaipuli S Thanu under the banner of V Creations. Radhika Apte will be seen sharing screen space with a Rajinikanth, Dinesh Ravi, and Nassar are having crucial characters in the film. We will see Rajinikanth as an actor, not a showman performing tricks that have gone stale over the years.

Rajinikanth’s will be seen playing the role of a don Kabaleeswaran in stylish look again with a beard and wearing a suit which suits him well in this film while Dhansika will be seen as a daughter in this flick. Kabali will be releasing over 300+ screens in Indonesia by Malik Streams who recently released Theri film. Kabali will run a school and help children who are affected by the gang wars. The story of the movie Kabali is all about a gangster & is featured with Pre-Independence era of Tamilians who were ruled by British as slaves and sent to Malaysia to work in Rubber factory. Kabaleswaram’s family members were also moved to Malaysia to work there, which makes Kabaleswaram to turn into Don in order to save Tamilians from British.

Santhosh Narayanan has given the music for this film whereas Cinematography was carried by G.Murali & editing work is done by Praveen K.L. Makers invested 100 crores in the film with the help of Production Company V Creations and Distribution by Gemini Film Circuit. The movie is releasing in Singapore and Indonesia, in Malaysia Malik Streams Productions and Distributions took the screening rights in Tamil version and also this flick is dubbed in Thai and Chinese to take it over Hong Kong and China. Movie is releasing in record number of places not only in Tamil but also in other languages.

Kabali will be premiered in France and Paris where the satellite rights are acquired from Jaya TV. For promoting this film Air Asia makers painted plains with Kabali Theme, Indian financial company Muthoot FinCorp produced silver coins for the cast of the film.

In Telugu language, Kabali movie has six songs for which the lyrics were penned by Ananth Shriram, Vanamali, and Ramajogayya Sastri. Earlier Rajinikanth made Basha which was also a gangster based movie. So Rajini fans are waiting to watch the film which is expected to create new records in the film industry after Baahubali.

In Hindi, Audio rights are acquired by Think Music for a recording price, The lyrics for the Hindi music had been penned by Raqib Saleem and all the songs of all the three languages had been composed and programmed by Santosh Narayanan. Prakash Raj has a crucial role in this film, but later he was replaced with John Vijay. Makers started shooting on August 21, 2015, in Chennai and managed an entire picture in Malaysia, Bangkok and Hong Kong.

Kabali is all set to entertain the audience in theaters for 2 hours 32 minutes, it will be the biggest release for the second half of the year 2016 in Bollywood, Kollywood, and Tollywood, Movie received U certificate from the regional censor board.
