Naaigal Jaakirathai is the story of an adorable dog Idoh [well trained German Shepherd Dog] and his master Karthik [Sibiraj]. Karthik is a police officer who lives along with his pregnant wife. One day Arundhati gets kidnapped by the criminals. Why was Arundhati Kidnapped and who does it? Watch Naaigal Jaakirathai on big screens to know how Karthik rescues her with the help of Idoh.
Performances:
Idoh takes the center stage. Inspite of calling it a performance, we can say it has actually lived the role. Viewers get easily connected with the handsome looking Idoh and dog lovers will definitely start feeling emotional.
Sibiraj is back with a bang and has confidently played the role of a cop. He has finely done the action and comedy scenes, while falls flat in emotional scenes.
Arundhati's role is descent and her performance is up to the mark. Albeit, chemistry between Sibi and his wife could have shown better.
Technical Analysis:
Director Shakti of Naanayam fame has made a win win comeback. He has given a well defined treatment for a simple crime thriller script. Gripping screenplay is one of the highlights of the movie.
Music and editing are much needed ingredients for a crime thriller, Dharan and national award winner Praveen KL passed with flying colours in their perspectives. Background music and fine cuts takes Naaigal Jaakirathai to the next level.
Nizar Shafi's camera angles needed a special mention. He has to be tapped for the chasing scenes with Idoh and the color tones.
Analysis:
Naaigal Jaakirathai is a bold and sincere attempt by Shakti and Sibi. Idoh is their backbone. Everything looks acceptable and real coming to Naaigal Jaakirathai. Sibiraj has to be appreciated for a strong comeback and is believable in the cop role.
Not commercially, but comedy, first half, interval bang, nail biting second half and climax, works very positive for Naaigal Jaakirathai team with very few might be unnoticeable misses.
Apart from Idhoh and Sibiraj no other actor is given importance. Dilogues are flat, the otherwise would have been a great impact for a crime investigation thriller. And last bust not least, Balaji's portions lacks seriousness.
