Mahatma Review
by MyMazaa.comIt has been quite a while since the film ‘Mahathma’ has been in the mouths of everyone and there is a good reason for that as there are many causes for that.
Firstly, this happens to be the 100th film of family star Srikanth, this is being directed by creative genius Krishna Vamsi which has been Srikanth’s dream. Also, there is news that the delicate beauty Bhavana who is playing the heroine is said to have come up with a glamorous role.
To top it all, the charming beauty Charmi is doing a spicy song in this one and this has been getting a red eye from the censor board. The film is being made under the Golden Lion Films banner and this also has Brahmanandam, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Uttej, Posani Krishnamurali , Charmi along with others. The producer of the film is C R Manohar and the music for the movie has been composed by Vijay Anthony.
The audio release happened recently and it has got a good response. The film was due for release on October 2nd as part of Gandhi Jayanthi but then it sparked a controversy since the censor board found few objectionable scenes that had to be removed.
Now, the film is hitting the screens this Friday. Inside sources reveal that the story revolves around the doctrines of Gandhiji and what would happen if his principles are to be implemented in today’s society. The dialogues have been penned by the experienced Paruchuri Brothers and the cinematography is taken care of by Sarath.
Lyrics for the songs are written by the team of Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry, Lakshmi Bhupal, Suddala Ashok Teja. The editing is done by Shankar and the art department has been coordinated by Srinivas Raju who is said to have come up with some massive sets for the key scenes.
The action is taken care of by Ravi Varma. There is also a buzz that due to the censor objections, a lot of rework has to be done but many are hoping that the flavor of the movie is not lost in this process.
