Thangigaagi Review

Have righteous thoughts, speech and perform righteous action. Can anyone survive with these Gandhian principles? No. Put off evil if you cannot put it down. Keep putting off evil till it dies €“ this is the 'mantra' the protagonist Veerabhadra he applies in the second half of 'Thangigaagi' and see to it that his sister is safe in a crime free city of Bangalore.

If you can imagine this to happen in a small village then there is some meaning in it? In over 1 crore population of Bangalore this imagination is senseless. All for the sister plus the close pal who was killed amounts to innumerable killings from Veerabhadra. The role played by popular Tamil actor Vijay in 'Thirupachchi' Darshan the popular star of Kannada cinema has repeated with punching dialogues and piercing sharp long knife which he manufactures in 'Thangigaagi'.

Brother wants a good house for his sister after marriage. In the village she has worked very hard sometimes blood piercing out from her two hands. So brother Veerabhadra wants a house where his sister Gowri should do only cooking and stay happily with her husband. He has Bangalore in his mind and accordingly a boy running a college canteen in Bangalore marries Gowri. To his astonishment he finds everything is not OK in Bangalore. He finds the rowdism and nefarious activities ruling in the big city.

On the advice made by his brother in law he returns back to village by not poking his news. On his second visit to Bangalore he finds things still worse. He loses his friend Basava for no mistake. He returns to his village and on the pretext of new job he got in Mumbai he comes to Bangalore. It is start of the killing of rowdies and their leaders with intelligence. What the police are supposed to do Veerabhadra does in a fierce full style.

Fooling police putting down the miscreants he goes on untouched. Finally Veerabhadra is successful. He rounds off all the rowdies in open ground at Bangalore Palace and arrange for firing from police. The ideas the protagonist work out earns him applause.

This role absolutely fits the image of dashing hero of Kannada cinema Darshan. The power of Darshan opens up in the second half thrilling his fans. It is a feast in fact for his huge fan following. Shwetha Chengappa the new sister to Kannada screen is very promising. A familiar TV actress Shwetha looks good and emotes well. Poonam is not having much to do. As a bad guy Rangayana Raghu looks restless. The glee in Avinash role is interesting to watch.

Music is average. Two of the five are tolerable. Cinematography is above average. The lovely of Tulip Garden in Amsterdam is a treat to watch. Anaji Nagaraj has been convincing in action scenes.

If you are an action lover you can watch this film easily.
