When God is silent he is violent. That is Thirupathi. This is a powerful action masala starring Sudeep. He has transformed from a cool breeze called 'My Autograph' to wild fire in 'Thirupathi'. The stunt portions and captivating narration style by one of the technically brilliant directors of Kannada cinema Shivamani deserves full marks. There is nothing new in the story. It is the same old revenge saga after beaten life in the beginning days.

Thiru (Sudeep) has served 10 years in jail and in these years he has grown up tough. Thanks to his mother and jailor. He is good in studies and sports. As he grows he becomes a tough cop. He is terror to the disgruntled elements. He is posted as Assistant Commissioner of Police where the law and political influence with the help of money power has spoiled the atmosphere. It is Michel Raj the king maker who is behind all ruckus in the society. This Michel Raj is nothing but Dhanraj father of ACP Thirupathi.

Now the one point agenda of ACP Thirupathi is to destroy the empire of Michel Raj as he has done injustice to his mother. Michel Raj on the other hand turns very tough on ACP Thirupathi. He uses his power to relieve him from the cop job. Now Thirupathi finds it easy to take on things. He gives Michel from the same coin. He kidnaps the three youths €“ sons of key personalities in the society who are the backbone to Michel and pretend that it is he (Michel) who has done the kidnapping. The Home Minister, famous lawyer and Financier are startled with this development. Thirupathi finish of two of the three youths he has kidnapped and leave the Home Minister son. In the two killings he makes everyone believe that Michel Raj gang has done the killing. Now the Home Minister completely tensed asks Thirupathi to save his son. In return Thirupathi ask for reverting him back to duties and shoot at sight order to end Michel Raj. With uniform and order on his hand Thirupathi goes on a hunt but his mother and fiancée are kidnapped by Michel as expected.

Sudeep in the cop uniform for the first time in his career looks absolutely fit. The powerful dialogues for him in the film earns applaud in the theatre. He is a mass hero and worked hard in action scenes. Charanraj as Michel has some change in his usual roles. Ranganayana Raghu handling comedy and cruelty is the best of the lot in the supporting team. He aped the real life politician Vatal Nagaraj the stormy petrel of state politics.

Pooja Kanwal looks very sweet but there is no scope for this heroine in this action extravaganza.

Rajesh Ramanathan two songs are worth hearing and the splendid locations in addition to choreography boost up the image. Mahendran camera work is very nice. For an action cinema it is not that easy to handle camera.

This is a feast for action lovers. No disappointment for Sudeep fans.
