Former Cricketer Anil Kumble who holds the record of highest wicket taking bowler for India applied for Team India's chief coach job.
In his international career, Anil Kumble took 956 wickets (337 in ODIs and 619 in Tests). Earlier, He coached IPL Franchises Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians.
A press release of BCCI says, About 57 applicants were in race for becoming the next Coach of Team India. The deadline for applying for the job of Team India's head coach ended on June 10th. Scrutiny of the applications has already begun and the names will be shortlisted within few days.
BCCI wishes to pick up the Coach before India's tour of West Indies in July this year. Views of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli were gonna be key in deciding the next Team India coach.
