Out of 50-plus applications received for Team India's head coach job, BCCI has shortlisted 21 Candidates and all of them will attend interview session Today (June 21st).
BCCI's Advisory Committee comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman will interview the shortlisted candidates. Sachin who is currently in London will communicate through video conference. Even those Candidates who were out of station could also face interview via video conference.
Sanjay Jagdale will convene the meeting at 1.30 PM in a Hotel. Anil Kumble, Ravi Shastri and Sandeep Patil are some of the top contenders. Other Indians in race include Venkatesh Prasad, Praveen Amre, Vikram Rathour and Balwinder Sandhu.
Advisory Committee will convey its choice for Team India coach to BCCI President Anurag Thakur during the Working Committee Meeting on June 24th at Dharamsala. BCCI will appoint new coach ahead of India's tour of West Indies next month.
